When a single word brings you to a dead stop in your tracks, when a quote resonates so deeply with your thoughts that time gently slows down around you, when a book speaks to you so strongly you want to devour it in one big bite, take it as a good sign! It means you are really listening to yourself as you take in your life.

In every space, every aspect and every part of our life, it is listening – truly and intently listening — which is our greatest offering to anyone sharing our life or crossing our path. It is only through real listening that true understanding can occur.
Do you think you really know how to listen?
I know — and my family will gladly vouch for it – that I have been a ridiculously poor listener all my life — and have struggled greatly to change my habits and to learn to slow down and really listen.
Listening is the most difficult, yet simplest and most overlooked and most rewarding skill you could develop. Much as we love to hear ourselves talk, and believe me, I do, it is in the listening that we learn our greatest lessons, that we get to know our greatest friends, and that we are exposed to our greatest experience in life and among others. The best part of this blogging mystique is the flow of conversation and thoughts among readers on the blog. The pleasure you afford the writer by sharing your thoughts or spreading the word on a good article is immense. It matters very little if there is complete agreement or a bit of challenge or a few questions in these responses. To me, it matters only that I can make my own website and be able to share something worthwhile and someone has found value in it.
