Living a life without dreams is like eating without tasting, kissing without feeling, and being alive without living. Making a dream come true, then, how grand that must feel. Fulfilling. Sublime. Transcendent. A lasting joy for the soul and a temptation to believe anything is achievable! I can think of nothing more compelling for self-confidence, dignity and sense of purpose of a human being than realizing one’s dreams .
On November 2, when I made one of my long-time dreams come true, I had such a feeling. In this speech, I share the story of that dream and the two amazing people in my life who made it possible.
Recognize in your life when it is time to stop Dreaming, Planning and Waiting – and when it’s time to Dream, Plan, and Do.
A Note about the Speech: The preparation of this speech was unusually easier and more enjoyable than many other speeches I have given, a note to remember that we should speak from the heart and on topics about which we are passionate. When we set out to write a speech or memorize a speech which is thus written, the muscle memory and mental retaining of information will surprise us in pleasant ways. Since we have the freedom to choose from an immense variety of topics for Toastmasters, it is best to always stay with those which interest us the most.
My endless Gratitude and Love to my photographer and friend Pascal and my best friend Cristina for making this dream come true! I truly find Pascal Monmoine Photography to be simply a gift to this world, and Cristina Lincoln’s Awaken Yoga is a joy to experience.
