    Hello Farnoosh!

    I appreciate your enthusiasm for juicing. After having been an Almost-Raw-Vegan for several years now (raw fruits and veggies, plus meat!), I’ve now gone completely raw. My sweetheart talked me into it. Well, that and seeing “Forks Over Knives.” The whole time we were watching the movie, I kept turning to her and saying, “I’m NOT giving up my meat!” I even ate a burger while I watched the movie. (Twisted, yes. I’ll admit it.)

    But after getting lots of info on the benefits of eating raw, including juicing, I finally decided to give it a try. I’ve been having a green drink every morning and loving it! I agree with you that it’s one of the most amazing and invigorating things you can do for your health – not just physical health, but emotional and mental health as well.

      Hi dear Z, I checked out your website, how nice of you to stop by and share your thoughts. I went vegan for 8 months and loved it. I am no longer vegan but I really love eating fruits and vegetables and obviously juices :)! And I tried the raw diet for 17 days. It was fun, I just got a little bored with it…. need to be more creative. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm back and feel free to come back anytime.

    I often make green juices – I never add fruit though because of the high fructoses content and the resulting insulin response.
    I like to add coconut milk to get in a good fat source too.

      Suz, excellent idea, I need to try that. I add very little fruit and mainly just vegetables.

    I love green juice, part of my morning ritual is to consume a qt each day. This was the best addition I made, now I cant go a day without my green juice. Glad to see the benefits of juicing spread around the world…soon everyone will be on to juicing, especially green juices.

    What is your opinion of the NutriBullet? The *only* reason I’m intrigued by it is that it looks SO much easier to clean than my juicer, ha!

      Kirsten, that’s not a juicer – it’s more like a blender, so you can certainly go for it but you won’t be making a juice as it won’t be extracting the fiber from the fruits/veggies. Just FYI. Still very nutritious.

    I’m a newbie juicer and am really enjoying the benefits! So much more energy, clarity and I’m losing weight without really trying. Since I started juicing I’ve really started to pay attention to what I am eating and where my food comes from. But, one thing that confuses me it how to determine how many servings of fruit or vegetables I’m drinking in my juice. I want to make sure that I meet the recommended 9 servings a day. But since juicing removes the fiber I’m assuming it changes the total servings I’m consuming.

      Dear Karin, welcome here – I love meeting newbie juicers (as I call you affectionately!) Paying attention to what else you eat is so important – good for you. As for servings, you know, you don’t get the fiber with juices – correct – but you get the minerals and vitamins and enzymes and that is plenty. If you are drinking 1 glass of green juice a day, you are getting the nutrients you need from dark leafies, which is the most nutrient packed vegetables. Fruits are nice to get but for real potent nutrient rich foods, you want your dark leafy vegetables so make sure you put those in there.
