Episode 32: Smarter Communication with Intuition

Intuition_Elephants

Welcome back to Episode #32 of The Daily Interaction podcast. Today’s topic is how to use intuition and your gut feel for smart interactions and communications. If you have never tuned into your intuition, you are in for a treat!

Guess Who is the Fresh Voice This Episode:

So starting today, I am introducing new fresh voice into the show. The idea is to bring you people that I admire a great deal and people that I believe are making a difference in this world and we are starting this off with my dear friend and wonderful blogger and author, Angela Artemis, who introduces the show.

The Daily Interaction Podcast

Going forward, we will have fresh new voices of people whom I trust, admire and whose life messages I find amazing and powerful. I am doing this because I believe their message will help take our goals of enjoying effective daily interactions to a new level. So I hope you are as excited as me about this fun addition to the podcasts.

So we explore the power of intuition in this topic, and I give you personal stories of how going with my intuition has made my decisions so much smarter in life, and how going against my intuition has cost me dearly, and I give you some examples on how to make your intuition count in your daily interactions.

Angela Artemis has a new book on teaching you to tap into your intuition on Amazon: The Intuition Primer. Be sure to check it out!

The Daily Interaction is now also available on Stitcher. If you have a Smartphone, this is the ultimate way to listen to podcasts. Download this awesome app for free!

Your Weekly Friday Show Notes:

1. What happens when intuition is missing from your decision making process? And what are you giving up?

2. How two of my vivid dreams came to be precisely as they happened in my dreams, and the one lesson I draw from this for you to encourage you to remember your dreams.

3. An example of a scenario where your intuition tells you something completely different from the picture of reality, and you have no idea why you feel this way and tips on what to do rather than dismissing that feeling.

4. What are the top questions to ask yourself to help you materialize your intuition into a sensible articulation so that you can find it more tangible and take action on it.

5. What to do if you get an intuition that goes completely against the masses. Listen to my personal story of how my original feelings toward this master yoga “guru” turned out to be true when the sex & drug scandal came out about him some 3 years later. Enter, John Friend and the scandal that has shocked and rocked the yoga world – except I wasn’t surprised at all.

6. Why you must listen to your intuition when it comes to your safety, and why it is best to first listen to your intuition when you feel funny about a situation or a circumstance and it could endanger you in anyway and then go home and analyze it later.

7. Using the power of intuition in your relationships and some practical tips on how to get to the core of that gut feeling and the right questions to ask in order to better dig into that “gut feel” and make it tangible, and all the while, never ignoring the intuition.

8. Why I chose to end some of my friendships, and why it is important to analyze your relationships from time to time and get clarity on where things stand in every aspect of your life.

    Dear Farnoosh,
How fun! I loved introducing your awesome radio program. I also adore the topic you chose as well.
Your dreams do provide you with intuitive guidance and information about the future. Keep listening to your intuition – you are very intuitive Farnoosh.

Angela, I adore you. Thank you for kicking off the “fresh new voices” that I am bringing to the podcast. You have set the right vibe, and I will continue to follow my intuition and also my dreams. Thank you for being a guiding light in my blogging and in my life! You are a darling.

It’s amazing what we pick up that’s below the surface if we know what to look for or how to listen.

Micro-expressions are a perfect example. If we don’t know about them we might sense them, but not think anything of it. If we do know about them, then we might pay more attention to how we read the situation.

Hi J.D., thanks for stopping by – I love the term you coined: micro-expressions. And it’s great to know you relate to the power of intuition too.

    Hello again, sweet Farnoosh!

Well, I just listened to this podcast (for about the 6th time) and I had to leave a comment. The topic of intuition has always held a weight of gravity in my life. It’s something that I am very in-tune with myself…or at least I think so. I’m sure I could probably learn even more… :) but throughout my life, even as a child, my intuition has been very strong. Whether it’s about people, animals, the setting around me, whatever it may be I almost always get some kind of whisper from my “inner voice” (I call it my “inner guide”). Whether it is a gift or not I don’t know, but I have always been very sensitive to my surroundings and anyone (or anything) within it. I’m usually very reserved in opening up to people I meet (a lot of people take this as either me being extremely shy or sometimes even “snobby”), until I get a complete feel or “read” on them and their character. Very rarely there are those that I instantly feel comfortable with, have some kind of connection with, however you want to phrase it (and you are one of those rare people :) ) and I do not ignore that at all. Those are the ones I have no problem holding a conversation with or “letting in” to get to know the real me with no guards or walls…they are the people/connections I hold on to dearly throughout my life. With others, my inner guide usually picks up on something (I don’t always see the actual reason why in the beginning) that makes it whisper to me “Hold your reservation with him/her…take some time to really get to know them.” In most cases, after being around them and getting to know them I do in fact find out there is something (they way they act, treat others, things they do, etc.) that makes that voice inside me now yell “NO! This isn’t someone you should hold in your life…” This has especially happened with people I do get close to. Once I have a strong connection with a person (say, in a dating relationship) it is VERY easy for me to pick up on and notice when even the littlest of things change about them or the way they act. For example, in a previous relationship of mine things were seemingly going great, and then I heard that intuition/voice within me say, “There’s something wrong…something different about him. He’s not acting the same…he’s not the same as when you started dating.” Now, I had no hard proof of anything “wrong,” but I had that nagging “gut feeling” that continued for awhile. Eventually I did come to find out he had been cheating for quite some time, and when I started getting that inner warning was around the same time he had started. This has happened on many different occasions, with different people/situations and my inner voice has almost never been wrong.

I’m sorry for the extremely long comment (lol) but I just had to leave a message and say Thank You!…So many people have told me I was just being really paranoid a lot of the time, and I was really happy to hear you saying that you too believe in the power of intuition… Great podcast! – Love it!

    XOXO

Dear lovely, intuitive, and PERFECT Cassandra, THANK YOU – never apologize for making my day and sharing your life, I loved every word and I have to tell you: It felt like I was looking in the mirror – we have felt a lot of the same exact precise “inner guide” you and I and my life turned around when I started listening to that voice every single time…. I think you will soon realize that there are always going to be people who will find something wrong with what you want to do/feel/act/say, whatever that may be, and you have to decide very early on how you are going to react to them. I think more than anything, what we learn as we grow older, is that everyone that says those things will sooner or later disappear and we are always left with ourselves, and we have to honor that person first and foremost. I am of course beyond honored that you feel comfortable to share these thoughts with me and I can’t wait to do a podcast that is entirely dedicated to you – I have the topic you sent me via Twitter DM, I am thinking about incorporating it soon, so if that’s the one you wanna go with, I’ll make it work. big hugs to you and thank you for trusting your intuition. You won’t regret it. xoxo!
