About this blog

Prolific Living is about living a life filled with as many rich, unique, growth-inducing, humbling, health-and-wealth promoting, authentic, stupendous, inexplicably delicious, and soul-enriching experiences as one can possibly create. Cultivating a life in which that spirit dwells, and developing habits which sustain that life are driving forces of my life, and writing about the ways in which I have pursued and sometimes attained that have served me as the motivation to create this space.
The Vision: Prolific Living embodies the essence of vitality and bliss by living a supremely prolific life through well-established habits of conscious eating, voracious reading, diligent yoga, constant traveling, insatiable appreciation of the arts, and avid love of language and speaking skills - and by imparting that experience to its beloved readers, you!

The things which have enriched my life with color and texture serve as the foundation of this blog, and my goal is that imparting this information can enable you to enrich your life through a mix of inspiration and approach provided in this blog. These are the things which have passed the test of time both in my life and in the world; they have not faded in and out of life like shadows of passing acquaintances; they have remained constant like the hand of a true friend – always there to remind me of my priorities.
Why is it that happiness can be easily attainable on a Monday and terribly elusive on Thursday of an uneventful week? Where is that key to the happiness of the soul so I can lock it up in my sanctum and never lose it again? How it keeps us on our toes, how it plays with our minds, how it comes and it goes and is ever so fluid and dynamic at once. How it renders us free and captive to its will all at once. How ironic that the happier we feel, the less we seem to understand about this fleeting and intangible entity. In this blog, I write about the joy in the moments when I touch that insatiable happiness in life. Like the perfect waves of the wild Pacific ocean, the only certainty about happiness is its the ebb and flow.
A Pledge from me to you:

- It is my purpose to write here only timeless content, devoid of current events, and in the spirit of enriching another human being’s life.
Categories in this Blog:
While the initial bias is heavily towards the Book Blogs, I am expanding the other categories (listed in alphabetic order).
- Bits and Pieces: Here I write about the bits and pieces of life and blogging outside of the major categories.
- Book Blogs: Category of book blogs related to my experience and sentiments on the books, the authors, the characters and the writing style. My reviews may sometimes contain spoilers for the undecided reader. I consider spoilers to be of concern for thrillers and action-packed dramas and so walk a fine line in not giving away the climax during my reviews. However, I have the presumption that the great classics of our time can be written about openly and freely, and that the most well-known books to literature are immune to spoilers.
- Edible Eats: Category of living with healthy habits of vegetable and fruit juicing, raw foods, green smoothies, recipes, juicing fast challenges, and living it up in the kitchen.
- Eternal Entertainment: Category of select movie reviews, concerts and film festivals with a strong impact, a memorable experience, and lessons for better living through the love of film.
- Toastmasters: Category devoted to my passion for Toastmasters and public speaking as well as experience and leadership in Toastmasters clubs.
- Travels Tales: Category whereby I tell the tales of sweet moments from traveling around the globe, living and experiencing our beautiful world through my eyes and my heart.
- Yoga Yearning: Category where my passion and love of yoga come to life and I aim to aspire and inform you of my yoga journeys including but not limited to yoga workshops and conferences, podcast reviews, studio visits around the world and meditation practice.

A note about transition from Blogspot:
When I first migrated over from Blogpost to Wordpress and launched in Spring 2009, I was using Thematic Theme for Wordpress, which was a very good way for me to start with Wordpress and learns the foundation of this platform through an efficient theme. Then recently with all the reviews around Thesis Theme, I absolutely had to switch over. I never thought I would pay for a Theme, as there are so many wonderful free ones out there, but I feel thrilled that I did. The website’s feel has completely transformed, and the space is used much more efficiently. The typography is beautiful and I am beyond impressed by the aesthetics, and the genius behind Thesis. I have spent countless hours learning it and would be most happy to share those learnings with you if you should wish to switch over to Thesis through Prolific Living.
And most of all, I thank you and I write for you.
