Beet Ginger Carrot Juice in New Zealand

GreenJuiceNewsletter

It is a beautiful warm night here in Queenstown, New Zealand where I write this today. Lake Wakatipu must be the largely undiscovered piece of heaven on earth. Once you see it, you shall never forget it. Mother Nature beckons you here with every breeze, every rustle and every ripple and with the fresh New Zealand air and stunning gorgeous views, you come alive. Mother Nature rules here, in complete serenity, and she makes you feel grateful – even privileged – for being able to experience her beauty.

But you know what I wish I had here? A Green Star Elite, which is by the way a top notch brand of a juicer that would have made my vacation complete with fresh green juices daily!

Coming alive and taking excellent care of your mind, body and heart has been the theme of Prolific Living all year long. It is a fitting theme because it reflects precisely my own priorities and thus, my passions. This year, I focused on this primary pillar of all smart habits: our health, both vibrant physical health and strong mental health.

From understanding and managing your travel fears and anxieties, to the 8 pillars of inner motivation, to the 10-minute daily invigoration routines, the focus was to refresh, renew, rejuvenate and re-set the clock on your mental and physical health and to become more vigilant and less complacent as you journey through your fabulous life.

Today, I am bringing you Prolific Living’s last product just before we bid 2011 goodbye and welcome 2012.

Green juicing is the one “food” that you add to your diet that actually helps you subtract all the waste from your body, leaving you feeling rejuvenated, renewed, and revitalized.

When I stumbled upon green juicing over four years ago, it was a novel idea. I clearly remember my initial excitement; I had decided to become the world’s biggest baddest green juicing woman! I remember telling my husband that I am going to juice every vegetable and fruit in sight and lose all that extra weight - 20 pounds or 9 kilograms - and most of all, that I was on a quest to regain my lost vitality and zest for life.

I was able to do all of that with green juicing plus so much more and so can you! Seriously, I used to think that green juicing and the stunning benefits is all hype and marketing. Not so, my darling reader, and I am living and breathing proof every day!

These are my fantastic outcomes from green juicing habit:

- Weight loss of 20 pounds
- A fantastic digestive system
- Rejuvenation
- Heaps of energy
- Agility
- Renewed body love
- Mental clarity
- Flatter stomach
- Feeling beautiful
- Glowing hair and skin
- Fabulous immune system
- Deciphering my body’s cues and signals
- Better, happier moods
- Less menstrual cramps
- Happiness

You can experience all all of these benefits too. Green juicing does not discriminate. If you do it, you benefit immensely!

Remember, you absolutely need a juicer if you are going to be making fresh green juices, and investing in a quality juicer will turn out to be one of your best decisions. I highly recommend and adore the Green Star Elite – a fantastic, high quality, top-notch brand of juicer.

Today, I have turned this experience of learning everything on my own through trial and error and costly mistakes into a complete product that offers you a step-by-step green juicing guide with the only 10 recipes you will ever need, plus two special bonuses. Hi Farnoosh! This is the second post on green juicing I’ve seen in the last week. Maybe it’s God’s way of trying to tell me something. :)

Tell me something: I don’t have a juicer but I have a blender. Can you do smoothies or shakes almost the same way, or is that in your book? And CONGRATS on the book, by the way! I’ll have to check it out!

Hi Bryan, yes it’s the universe pointing you to green juices and I am the guiding light ;) !
Ok so as far as juicer versus blender, I explain this in the book. Basically, you need a juicer and you can get a fantastic one for about $100. I am not at all advocating any particular brand and I am not associated with any juicer company. You can get a good juicer, from my customer reviews, for as little as $100 and it’s a top brand like a Breville.
I researched for a while whether you can use a blender but decided it’s just not going to work in the end. It’s a great investment but you make the right call for you, Bryan. Cheers!

Green Juicing is Amazing Bryan – and this is a sign! Check out my blog on a recap of a 3 day juice fast my husband went on back in October.. We LOVED this experience – We have been juicing for over a year now and can’t imagine ever giving it up. This is a habit that is here to stay. My husband bought me the best juicer on the planet for xmas… it came early :)

BTW – We do smoothies along with juicing – smoothies are great to grind up dark leafy greens that you normally don’t chew well enough to get all the nutrition.

Good Luck!

Sounds wonderful, Food babe! I am so glad you are doing both green smoothies and green juicing, I love both, although my book is mainly about the latter….. Enjoy!

I have been staring at my juicer for weeks- promising myself that I will juice. Thanks for highlighting the benefits of green juicing! I can’t wait to read your book.

Kim, what kind is your juicer? I am so glad the timing was impeccable. Enjoy it and let me know your favorite recipes!

Wow, Farnoosh, this is a fantastic idea! This has been at the back of my mind for a long time now but didn’t know where to start. I’ve been consuming lots of soda and junk food and it’s not really helping me. Green juicing will be a really welcome replacement for my unhealthy habits.
I think this will be a perfect gift to myself this Christmas and also the perfect new year’s resolution. I’ll have to check it out as soon as I’m able to.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Theresa, I hope you decide to move toward health and well-being in 2012. It’s a great time to make a commitment to yourself and start with a brand new habit and green juicing is transformative. I talk a lot about how you can start the habit and what to do if you fall off track and what starts to happen to bad habits. Enjoy and all the best and let me know if any questions.

I have the Breville Juice Fountain Plus. It’s wonderful — when I use it!

You’re kidding? That’s the one I am eying as my next juicer and I am so happy to hear your feedback. Can you juice a whole orange in it? Do you know? Thanks Kim!

I have to agree with Bryan above. I have been seeing a lot of juicing post lately, so maybe its time to catch on. I want to live healthy in 2012 for sure, and this looks like a good start :)

Hi there, I would love it if you took all this as a great sign to move toward green juicing. I know this is something you would really enjoy and find amazing benefits in. Here’s to a very healthy 2012!

I see what you did there. You set yourself up for an entire product line of differing colored juices. That’s marketing genius! Blue juice, yellow juice, (uh, watch out for the yellow juice, actually) and of course, neon pink juice.

I should probably get more into juices. It’s kinda hard to find fresh produce around here, especially in the winter. Do you have a “Wal-Mart” juicing guide? Stuff you can buy at Wal-Mart that won’t kill you and you can juice?

14 Farnoosh December 15, 2011 at 3:37 PM

Hi Joe, you have indeed figured out my secret plan. How did you do it? :)
No Wal-Mart guide. But you are bound to have a place that sells fresh produce, unless you live far from civilization? ;) Even then, you can find a farm I am sure. Anyway, nice to see you here, Joe, and here’s to healthy living, however you may define it !

Hi Farnoosh,

Green juicing, I’m sure is so good for you. I will have to give it a try. Always interesting to have new ways to be healthy. Thanks for sharing. Congrats on your new book.

I’m not sure one can ‘think’ one’s way to health, but the so-called positive attitude probably helps. Individual body metabolism plays its part, too. When I changed to a vegetarian diet, I lost 50 lbs in six months. My wife (who also changed her diet to the same) gained no such advantage. Try it and see seems a good guiding principle. Journey safe and see you in Wellington.

Hi Simon, positive attitude helps everything! :) I never lost weight on vegetarian diet – in fact, I might have gained – but I did lose on vegan diet. I am so excited that I will be seeing you in Wellington. Are you joining our meetup on January 2nd? How exciting!

Green juicing really made a complete transformation out of me! I agree with Farnoosh with what she said regarding the great effects of green juice. Anyone who hasn’t tried it yet is missing a great way to rejuvenate the mind and body.

That’s awfully nice, thank you so much, Edgar. Did you end up checking out the book? Are you still interested in green juicing? I am about to go on a juice fast for a few days. Should be fun :) !

Hi Farnoosh,

My wife borrowed mine for her to read, which is fine by me. She makes all the juicing and smoothies concoctions so I gladly have her read it first. I am very interested in green juicing and smoothies right now…I can’t explain how healthy we’ve become.

Edgar, sounds like fun. I am wondering if you would not mind doing an Amazon review for it when you have read it? I put the Kindle only version up on the Amazon store here. Thank you!!!!

Farnoosh!
Love your name! We bought a Omega juicer, the auger type and started juicing…It is really quiet and chews and spits out the pulp and the juice is wonderful. The pulp is really dry so I know it is squeezing it out nicely. It is really hard to get used to the Green Juice …but I am drinking it. Thank you for the website very inspiring and so are you!

Hi Kim, thank you so much – I know what you mean I have that Omega juicer and very dry, unlike the Breville in every way pretty much. You know, if the juices aren’t DELICIOUS, then you are maybe not making the best recipes? I have included delicious recipes and there’s no reason your juice shouldn’t be tasty, trust me, the right combination helps a lot. Thanks for your comment!

Dear Kim, thank you for your interest. The book comes in all formats for digital consumption so you can read it on your computer, iPad, iPhone, nook, regular smart phone with a PDF reader, which you can also print. Please see here for all formats: Green Juicing Guide. Unfortunately at this time, I do not have the hard copy. Perhaps in the future. Hope this helps and happy juicing!
