I admit though that I never gave the courage part as much thought because I was just having so much fun. Striving for excellence on stage before fellow Toastmasters is such a thrill that I feel more encouraged than courageous. It was my third time competing at a district contest, but I still felt like I was experiencing the moment for the first time--it's that breathtaking to me. I liken it to my track running. Every race is a treasure. I hope to compete again and, just as much, I hope to watch you up there on a district stage, too. You are truly gifted to be one of the more eloquent wordsmiths I know.
